God must have been very inspired while creating Montenegro because in such a small place he expressed all his creativeness. In an area of only 13 812 km2, one can expect exciting nature contrasts.

It is no wonder that many famous European botanists and geographers, while visiting Montenegro, disregarded their exploratory missions and became passionate travel writers.

There are just a few places in the world where the eternal struggle of natural elements has shaped the face of the earth with such passion and fascination. The fabulously jagged coastline of the Adriatic sea offers you the variety of beaches, coves, bays and islets that you have been dreaming of. The reality is even more exotic then the promises found in tourist brochures. The world’s southernmost and probably the most celebrated fjord in verse, beautiful Mediterranean  Kotor Bay, as well as the whole seacoast, is sheltered and shielded by the karstic mountains: Rumija, Sutomoran, Orjen, and Lovcen. In these picturesque karstic areas and in the cultivated Zeta and Bjelopavlici valleys, you will get the essence of Montenegrin mountains. The high mountains like Durmitor, Bjelasica, Komovi, and Visitor can offer you an unforgettable experience with their hidden lakes, numerous pastures, forests, pointed peaks, diverse flora and fauna, fast mountain rivers and imposing canyons.

There are three colors present in the Montenegrin landscape: blue, emerald green and iron gray, amazingly combined and interwoven,  because of its priceless natural beauty, Montenegro was proclaimed an ecological state through  a special declaration. The most important natural resources are four national parks: “Durmitor” designated by UNESCO, “Biogradska gora”, “Skadar Lake” and Mount “Lovcen”.

UNESCO - The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization was founded on November 16, 1945.  UNESCO promotes international cooperation among its 191 member states and 6 associate members in the fields of education, science, culture and communication.  UNESCO is working to create the conditions for genuine dialogue based upon respect for shared values and the dignity for each civilization and culture.

Numerous endemic plants (Black pine, Dianthus, Flowering quince, Eurphobia  Montenegrina etc.) and rare animals can be found here.

Within only one hour driving time from the warm Mediterranean sea and climate, you can find yourself at the foot of mountains covered by snow where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air.
